1. A team will consist of one dog and two hunters.

2. Each team is given 20 minutes to flush, shoot, and retrieve 3 game birds.

3. Each team will be allowed at total of 6 shells, 3 shells per gunner.

4. The judge will instruct each team when to start the hunt and when the allotted time has expired.

5. A bird captured by the dog will count as a flushed bird.

6. If the dog has captured a bird, the bird will be removed from the mouth of the dog by a team member and handed directly to the judge.

7. The team will get credit for a shot and retrieve. One shell will be given to the judge.

8. After the team has flushed, shot and retrieved 3 birds or time has expired or the team ends its hunt, the retrieved birds must be inspected by the judge to reveal that the birds are fit for the table. One warning may be given to the team if the judge feels that the team is covering the ground in an unsafe manner. No WARNINGS ARE REQUIRED, if in the judges’ opinion the infraction constitutes unsafe gun handling of any kind. If the infraction concerning gun handling is minor the judge at his/her discretion may choose to warn the team but must disqualify the team if the infraction is repeated. This event must be kept safe and fun.
