Throughout the year the AWSC offers or sponsors events around the country. These events include the club's National Specialty, supported conformation events, AWSC hunt tests, AWS Retrieving Certification Tests, AKC Spaniel hunt tests, and much more. SUPPORTED ENTRIES (dog shows)The AWSC encourages members to hold supported entries in different locations throughout the country. This helps to showcase the breed, increases the attendance at AKC shows, and often increases the number of points available to the winning dog(s).

AWSC HUNT TESTSThe AWSC offers a hunt test program designed to thoroughly test American Water Spaniels as all-around field dogs. There are four test levels offered in the program that correspond to the following available titles: Started Dog (SD), Working Dog (WD), Working Dog Excellent (WDX), and Working Dog Superior (WDS).
