Minutes of the Board of Directors of the American Water Spaniel Club
Date: 1-11-2021

Present: Kevin Smith, Aaron Field, Linda Hattrem, Rob Goodman, Tim Otto and Eric Wahlstrom.
Absent: Linda McGrath and Rob Goodman.
President Kevin Smith called the Meeting to order 7:05 p.m.

Agenda:
Reading of the minutes of meeting.
Minutes from the 11-9-2020 board meeting were read and approved by the consensus of the board.

Report of the Secretary: Middle of November sent out membership renewals. As renewals have come in I update memberships and mail chimp with changed information by members. According to the bylaw’s members have 45 days after January 1st to renew but they will not be in good standings to hold an office. Called and e-mailed members about unclear information they gave the club on renewals. I have been answering questions and e-mails from members and committee people.

Discussion regarding amortizing life time membership dues.

Unfinished Business:
*The AWSC board needs committee reports from the chairs. Kevin Smith will work with Linda McGrath on getting them and due date.
*Spring Hunt Test in TN - Eric W reported that more details will be going to the members and he will get that information to Linda McGrath to go on Mail Chimp.
*Website committee – Chair is Tim Otto. Committee members are Jennifer Cooper, Chad and Kimberly Lukehart, Julie Schmitt and Lois McCracken. They are working on redesigning the website. Eric Wahlstrom Moved to allow $25.00 per month to work on the new AWSC Website and an annual budget of $300.00. Seconded by Linda Hattrem. All in favor. Changes to word content needs to go to the AWSC board for approval. Tim Otto chair will inform his committee.
The restaurant venues need to be worked on from Nationals. Kevin Smith will take care of that.

Election of New members: None

New Business:
AWSC Review – Rob and Sue are not able to continue the Review. Sue’s daughter Stacy put the upcoming Review together for the club. Kevin Smith will chat with Rob Goodman and this will be tabled for the next board meeting. Linda Hattrem will look at some guidelines for the Review. Linda mentioned we need individuals to proof the whole Review before it goes to print. Kevin suggested that the AWSC board should do that.

AWSC Crime Insurance policy – Discussion to keep the policy or not. Aaron Fields moved to reinstate the policy. No second - motion failed. The AWSC board is not going to reinstate the policy at this time.
